The Lyceum of the Philippines University (Filipino: Pamantasang Liseo ng Pilipinas, abbreviated LPU) is an institute of higher education located in Intramuros in the City of Manila, Philippines. It was founded in 1952 by Dr. José P. Laurel, who became the third president of the Philippines. It is committed to provide equitable access to learning through relevant, innovative, industry-based and environment-conscious programs and services in the context of nationalism and internationalism.
In order to achieve their mission, they plan to improve the implementation of their HR policies. As what they all say, invest on the employees in order to attain your goals. For LPU Cavite, they do their HR tasks manually. According to Ms. Deborah Torrecampo of the HR department of LPU Cavite, “We really looked for an HRIS system that can make our lives easier and more efficient.” They believe that through an HRIS system, they will be able to implement well their HR policies.
As they searched for an HRIS provider, they were able to find Hdi Systech which offers Workwise. When asked about what made them decide to get Workwsise, this is what Ms. Deborah has to say, “With Workwise, we like the leave utilization, less paper work and it has modules that we can use for training and development.” LPU Cavite is an environment friendly university, to have Workwise as their HRIS will help them conserve paper. Through Workwise they will be able to implement their policies strictly since there will be a process that will be followed.
When asked about their expectations on the implementation of Workwise, Ms Deborah answered, “We hope that the implementation will be fast and efficient. We expect it to help us in our implementation of our policies for us to be more efficient.” They expect that through Workwise they will be able to live by their quality policy which is give efficient and effective quality service.
